About me and this blog
OK, here we go: I’m a 37-year-old Swedish journalist currently living in Pante Makassar, Timor Leste (also known as East Timor), where I serve as a UN volunteer. I’m new to the blogosphere and don’t really know how to create and maintain a decent blog (any helpful tricks of the trade are more than welcome!), but I’ll guess I’ll get the hang of it sooner or later.
This blog will mainly contain more or less personal information about my life and work in a new country (I’ve been here for three weeks when I write this), but hopefully the reader will also learn a thing or two about Timor Leste, the UN or whatever other topic I might digress on. I’ll also try to publish pictures, but the ultra slow internet connection I have access to will unfortunately make this a rather sporadic feature of the blog.
So far I’ve posted everything in Swedish, but I reckon I’ll also publish texts in English and/or Portuguese, depending on my mood.
Feel free to publish or send (filipandersson5@gmail.com) your comments in Swedish, English, Portuguese or Spanish if you’d like me to understand your points of view. If that’s not very important to you, Polish, Thai, Swahili or any other language I don’t speak will do just fine
